The Houston Center for Contemporary Craft (HCCC) is having nominations for the Texas Masters Series in the various craft mediums including FIBER.

Nominations can be made online at under Artist Resources . From their WEBSITE “HCCC is dedicated to contemporary craft at the highest level, collaborating with local and national organizations, guilds, and curators to create an arts organization that is both accessible to the general audience and unwavering in its commitment to artistic excellence. As a resource for both artists and educators, HCCC offers the community at-large a unique opportunity to experience the excitement of the handmade through world class exhibitions, gallery talks, studio demonstrations, tours with handson activities, and a bustling retail gallery representing over 400 craft artists. HCCC initiated its Texas Masters exhibition series in 2005, awarded to career artists in Texas based on peer nominations, to provide much needed recognition of Texas artists who have dedicated themselves to making craft. We are currently seeking nominations from across the state.  If you know someone who should be considered, we encourage you to fill out the nominee information form below and send to the address listed.

Please direct any questions to the HCCC Curator of Fine Craft, Gwynne Rukenbrod at 713.529.4848 X 104 or via email at
